  2. “I have been riding electric bikes for five years. I have ridden four versions of kit set bikes as well as another custom made electric bike. The Ezee Sprint 7 has been by far the most reliable, comfortable and easy. The battery and motor have sufficient power to get me up any hills, and the internal rear hub gears are great. I have read the arguments that motors mounted on the bottom hub give more efficient power, but I have had two versions of those and have not noticed any significant difference.”

    Our council went through a rigorous market research and tendering process before choosing the eZee (Sprint 7M) model. It was selected for safety, strength and for technical features such as the improved technology lithium battery and ease of use for cyclists of varying abilities

    Jace …… Just a note to let you know how pleased WE are to,have purchased TWO of your Sprint Bikes … They are INCREDIBLE … We have spent the afternoon speeding along the
    Napier Foreshore Cycle Way having the time of our lives …. Sprint the SPIRIT on the Sprint Bike .
    We popped out over here from Taumarunui this morning for the Easter Break so we could breathe some sea air and strut our stuff on our new and wonderful bikes ..

    Jace, just to let you know that I have ridden 8200 kilometers on the Sprint with the Schwalbe Marathon Plus tyres. I kept the pressure at 55 to 60, like you recommended and i have had no punctures; not one. I will let you know when it comes time to change them, but there is plenty of wear left on them.     After a thorough research, we decided to purchase 2 Sprint e bikes, the two deciding factors were 1.QUALITY 2.We know we can talk to Jace or Maurice if any problems that may occur by picking up the telephone

    This bike has top specs for everything except the standard 11Ah battery it comes with. Note that in the specs tab, they tell you how many km to expect out of the 19 and 28Ah batteries but not the 11Ah. I am finding that I will probably get around 40km out of this battery, and I am now recharging mine every day after my 20km commute. I usually ride on the 3rd pedal assist setting (out of 5). You will need the first setting to get the bike going as it is of course much heavier than a normal bike. The booklet that came with the bike actually mentions a 15Ah battery as an option; I really do wonder why this size is not the standard one provided, it really should be. Everything else is top of the range with this bike, so why skimp on the battery? At the very least, make it more obvious that the 11Ah is really for flat city commute only, and the 19Ah battery would be worth the extra expense for hills and bike touring. I would give 3.5 stars if I could but went for 4 as apart from the battery the bike really is perfect!

    To say I am delighted with the bike would be an understatement. I have hardly used the car since taking delivery, and have already done 360 kms. It seems to travel around on the flat at just under 30 kph in top gear and 4th power pretty effortlessly. And going up Railway reserve or to Princess Drive (one of the longest, steepest roads in Nelso) is a doddle. Tim Stevens
